Your carpets will be dry and ready to use in about an hour or two. We designed our carpet cleaning service exclusively for our humid coastal climate in the Greater Victoria Region.
Viscose and rayon are made of wood and plant pulp which is heavily chemically processed to give it a soft, glossy finish. These regenerated cellulose fibres are sold under many names: viscose, rayon, manmade silk, art silk, bamboo silk, banana silk, cactus silk, Silkette, Luxcelle, Lyocel, and Tencel. They are marketed deceptively as a luxury fibre. They are essentially a “paper,” disposable fibre. Within a short period of time these fibres lose colour, shine, and texture. With spills or clean-up attempts in the home, the results are often disastrous. Even with professional cleaning, the results will never be satisfactory. For more information, please see our resource article: Why you should never buy a viscose rug.
We understand that uncontrollable events and emergencies happen to everyone. All we ask is to please keep in mind that last-minute cancellations mean we most likely will not be able to fill your time slot, resulting in a loss of income which is difficult for a small boutique business.
For our residential services, payment is due upon completion of services. We accept debit, credit cards, cheques and e-transfer. If you choose to e-transfer, please do so promptly, as it is easy to forget. The only thing we do not like about our job is having to remind clients to pay! Commercial services are normally Net 30.
If you are unsatisfied for any reason, within 30 days, we will gladly re-clean the areas you are not happy with or refund the amount.
This rare temporary phenomenon is caused by what the industry refers to as differential expansion. We only see it occur once or twice a year. If it happens, please do not worry! The carpet will lay flat again within 48 hours. Unfortunately, there is no way to predict when this will occur. Here is what happens: All wall-to-wall carpet expands and contracts with varying humidity. Usually, you will never notice this occurring. However, some latex-backed carpets contain fillers that will absorb moisture and swell or expand at a rate that causes swelling. Once fully dry, the carpet will return to its normal condition. Poor installation is also a contributing factor. Many carpet installers use a knee-kicker instead of properly power-stretching the carpet.
