We could go on and on about how nothing we do is ordinary, but the bottom line is it’s about who is doing the work. God is in the details. Please see our article: The Best Carpet Cleaning Is in the Eye of the Beholder.
Why do you vacuum before cleaning?
The Carpet and Rug Institute explains that one of the most important questions you should ask before Hiring a Carpet Cleaning Professional is: “Do you vacuum before deep cleaning the carpet?” The answer should be yes. Vacuuming before deep cleaning is critical and makes a difference in the end result. We use a Carpet and Rug Institute Seal of Approval commercial upright 2-motor vacuum with dual HEPA filtration. Did you know that most carpet cleaners do not carry a vacuum on their trucks? We call them “hacks” or “splash-and-dash” cleaners. They will be long gone before I finish vacuuming. For an entertaining explanation of why most carpet cleaners and other service providers are so bad, please read our article: The One-Eyed Carpet Cleaner is King.
Why should I book your services online?

Eva and I want you to have peace of mind knowing the exact price before you schedule an appointment. Our online booking is fast and super-easy, and no payment information is required. Plus, you will not have to jump through hoops. Imagine never being put on hold, forced to talk to a salesperson, play telephone tag, or endure high-pressure sales tactics and awkward questions. You can book your next carpet cleaning in seconds!
How long will my carpets take to dry?
Your carpets will be dry and ready to use in 1-2 hours. We designed our carpet cleaning service exclusively for our humid coastal climate in the Greater Victoria Region.
Do You Move Furniture?
Prices include moving and cleaning under some light furniture (e.g. sofas, coffee tables, end tables) that can be easily moved. We do not move beds, dressers, bookcases, electronics, media centres, sectionals, or china cabinets.
Why are viscose rugs usually not worth cleaning?
Viscose and rayon are made of wood and plant pulp which is heavily chemically processed to give it a soft, glossy finish. These regenerated cellulose fibres are sold under many names: viscose, rayon, manmade silk, art silk, bamboo silk, banana silk, cactus silk, Silkette, Luxcelle, Lyocel, and Tencel. They are marketed deceptively as a luxury fibre. They are essentially a “paper,” disposable fibre. Within a short period of time these fibres lose colour, shine, and texture. With spills or clean-up attempts in the home, the results are often disastrous. Unfortunately, even with a professional area rug cleaning service, the results will rarely be satisfactory. However, if they are in good condition with only light soiling then we will dry clean them upon request. For more information, please see our resource article: Why you should never buy a viscose rug.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that uncontrollable events and emergencies happen to everyone. All we ask is to please keep in mind that last-minute cancellations mean we most likely will not be able to fill your time slot, resulting in a loss of income which is difficult for a small boutique business.
What are your payment terms?
For our residential services, payment is due upon completion of services. We accept debit, credit cards, cheques and e-transfer. If you choose to e-transfer, please do so promptly, as it is easy to forget. The only thing we do not like about our job is having to remind clients to pay! Commercial services are normally Net 30.
Do you guarantee your work?
Enjoy peace of mind using a certified professional with over 35+ years’ experience and our 30-day guarantee.
Why did my carpet swell after cleaning?
This rare temporary phenomenon is caused by what the industry refers to as differential expansion. We only see it occur once or twice a year. If it happens, please do not worry! The carpet will lay flat again within 48 hours. Unfortunately, there is no way to predict when this will occur. Here is what happens: All wall-to-wall carpet expands and contracts with varying humidity. Usually, you will never notice this occurring. However, some latex-backed carpets contain fillers that will absorb moisture and swell or expand at a rate that causes swelling. Once fully dry, the carpet will return to its normal condition. Poor installation is also a contributing factor. Many carpet installers use a knee-kicker instead of properly power-stretching the carpet. When getting new carpet installed insist that the installer uses a power stretcher.
